Saturday, December 1st

3:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Meet at the Nature Center

3:00 p.m. until Dark

  • Face Painting
  • TPWD staff first-person interpretation of Stephen F. Austin’s Texas Rangers

3:00 - 7:00 p.m.

  • Dutch oven cooking demonstrations
  • Hayrides (approximately 45 minutes long)

3:30 p.m.

  • Children’s Story Time – “Stranger in the Woods” – Listen to this book and learn how people can help wildlife during the cold winter.  All ages welcome.
  •  “Christmas is for the Birds” – Make your own natural bird feeder then help us decorate our very first Christmas Tree Bird Feeder.

4:30 p.m.   - Storytelling - by the staff of the George Ranch Historic Park

Santa’s Arrival - 5:00 p.m.

5:00 - 7:00 p.m. - Brazos River Pickers (old time/bluegrass) (at the amphitheater)

 Refreshments and marshmallow roasting / s'more making (until we run out).

Bring a picnic supper to enjoy under the Christmas lights.

(Event is Weather Permitting)

information and interpretive programs and to assist in the care and conservation of the Park.
